Fall Sports Theme is "Undefeated!"
article in the King High School Newsletter, Nov/Dec. 2005 Issue
by Tamara Kerr, Editor

Undefeated was the theme for King High sports in the fall season 2005.

Boys Football won all 5 games in the always tough Ivy League to capture their 1st championship our school’s history. King Football was the only school in CIF Division 5 to go through league play unbeaten.  A great accomplishment -Undefeated Champs!

Girls Tennis continued their excellence with another Ivy League Championship by winning all 8 league matches and now Coach Becky Gagnon and her King Tennis program have won 6 straight league titles and 56 games in a row - Undefeated Champs!

Boys and Girls Cross Country went through Ivy play with 5 wins each.  The girls have been league champs 5 years in a row, with boys as league champs 2 years in a row.  Dominance by both the Girls and Boys teams in 2005 Ivy League - Undefeated Champs!

Girls Volleyball has now won a league championship 4 years in a row with this year’s Ivy League Title.  In that time they are 39 -1 in league play.  Great job, Girls Volleyball - League Champs!

Boys Water Polo battled all season and made it to the Ivy League playoffs for 3rd place in the toughest league in our CIF Division. All this without a pool - What an Effort!

Girls Golf went to the Southwestern League to compete and represented King well with a .500 record in league - keep it up, Ladies - next year, come home to the new Ivy League.

Our athletes and coaches showed Class, Character, and Sportsmanship with super effort in all competition.   All in all, great fall season!  King High is proud!
