Students will only be released to a parent or guardian designated on the emergency information card.  A signature is required for all releases.  You may fax our office at 951-778-5681; send your student with a note BEFORE school begins, and we will give them their release pass and they will meet you out front (make sure you have date, student’s full name and reason listed along with your signature); OR you may come into the attendance office with your identification. 

Taking students off campus for lunch is not considered appropriate.  When your student returns to school, whether the same day or the following day, have them come into the office with a note from your doctor, dentist, or other professional and this converted to a “verified illness” which is better on their attendance record. 

Students who leave campus without signing out are considered “truant.”  A note after leaving campus will not excuse the absence.  This procedure is in place to ensure the safety of all students.

NOTE:  As of July 1998, new state regulations specify that schools receive funding only when students are physically in school.  Absences for any reason excused or not, will result on reduced funding that day.
