Computer Lab Rules

  1. Students will be assigned a computer; they are not allowed to use computers that they have not been regularly assigned to use.

  2. Students must LOG ON and LOG OFF the 67-NIS SERVER using their unique ID name and password.

  3. Students who do not LOG OFF will be responsible for anything that happens to the computer or the server.

  4. Students are not allowed to LOG ON to another person's account or alter/change other's work/files.

  5. Students are not allowed to hack into the network.

  6. Students are not allowed to alter, change or modify computer settings, desktop, screen saver, display, monitor, keyboard, or mouse settings.

  7. Students are not allowed to use school computers for personal communication such as email, chatting, instant messaging, and/or social networking sites.

  8. Students are not allowed to copy, plagiarize or misrepresent their work or the work of other individuals.

  9. Students are not allowed to upload, download, install, unauthorized music or video files, or copy software or CDs of any type on or from school devices.

  10. Students are not allowed to use the computer to view or create vulgar, profane or threatening language and/or images at any time.

  11. Students are not allowed to steal, damage or vandalize school property.

  12. Students are responsible for any damage occurring to their computer or equipment during class time.

  13. Students must adhere to the RUSD Acceptable Use Policy when using the Internet.

  14. Students are expected to save their work to their Electronic Portfolios.
