Syllabus
Course
Description:
This class is a college preparatory course in biology covering cell
biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, physiology of plants and animals in
a manner that utilizes technology, and investigation, and experimentation
techniques. Students are expected to learn at an accelerated pace and
demonstrate understanding through a variety of assessment types.

SUPPLIES REQUIRED
FOR ALL SCIENCE CLASSES WITH MRS HERINGTON:
Every time I walk
into B 104 I MUST have the following things with me:
- My
notebook
with my name and period CLEARLY marked on it. (Mead
¶ ¶ ¶
¶ ¶ , spiral
bound with tear-out pages)
- Black, blue and red
pens
- 2B
pencil
and
eraser
-
three
or more highlighters
and/or
colored pencils
- ruler
marked in inches AND centimeters
- graph paper
- a glue stick
- scissors
(safety style)
- a
calculator
- my
student ID card
also…

any
homework or
assignments
due that day, ALREADY COMPLETED
any "special"
equipment that I have
been asked to provide on a particular day
any special
safety equipment
that I have been asked to bring for a particular lab.
Class policies:
Late work will not be accepted. In case of an excused
absence, make up work, test or labs will be given the time lost. I.E.
if you are absent for one day you will be given one day to finish and
turn in. If assignment has already been completed and corrected in class,
new assignments will be given. Tests will be made up on a case by case
basis. |
