Second-year Spanish is designed to enhance communication skills in the target language and to prepare students for living in a global society. Students will increase their vocabulary, control of grammatical structures, and cultural awareness. the amount of time devoted to speaking, reading, and writing practice will increase. Word to Wise:

No one learn a foreign language by attending five hours of class per week. A student's developing fluency will be determined to a large extend on the amount of time of time he/she spends outside of class. In addition to daily homework, students should spend an additional 15-20 minutes each day studying vocabulary, reviewing previously learned material and / or exposing themselves to a variety of language learning opportunities outside the classroom.
