Southern California Gas Company Scholarship                      

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and attend an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational/technical school as a full-time student in the fall of 2010
  • 2.5 GPA or higher, community involvement, demonstrated financial need, official transcript, essay, photograph
  • Deadline April 30, 2010

Eric “Hoss” Means Jr. Memorial Athletic Scholarship

  • Must be a graduating high school male student and participate a minimum two years in the King Baseball program (any two years)
  • 2.5 GPA or higher, two letters of recommendation, forty hours per year community service, attend MLK all four years, good sportsmanship on and off the field, brief essay, wallet size photograph

The Gove Scholarship Fund   *NEW*

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university or vocational school in the fall of 2010

UCLA Latino Alumni Association

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and a full-time registered UCLA student for the 2010-2011 academic year

Farmer’s Daughters Scholarship Program  *NEW*

  • Open to female students between the ages of 16 and 19 as of October 1, 2010 and live in Riverside County
  • You do not have to be a daughter of a farmer to apply for this scholarship.  You will represent the Southern California Fair by attending parades, charity functions, civic events and festivals
  • Personal statement, essay, two letters of recommendation, official transcript, list of projects that you will enter in the 2010 Southern California Fair October 9-17
  • If selected, from October 9-17th, you will compete in fun daily contests at the Fair.  The girl with the highest score will be crowned “Farmer’s Daughter 2010.  Finalist may receive a scholarship ranging from

$500.00 to $1500.00

Mayer Dallal & Ryan J. Garland Scholarship   *NEW*

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and attend Riverside Community College in the fall of 2010

  • Open to junior and senior high school students

BigSun Scholarship  *NEW*

Wendy’s High School Heisman Award  *NEW*

  • Open to all junior (Class of 2011) student-athletes who work hard, are dedicated, and have become role models for KHS underclassmen
  • 3.0 GPA or higher and has participated in at least one school-sponsored sport
  • Apply online at www.wendysheisman.com by October 3, 2010, 5:00pm central time
  • Each student applicant must have their online application reviewed and confirmed online by a school representative.  Reviewers have until October 5, 2010, 5:00pm, central time, to complete their review
