University of La Verne Performance Scholarships                 

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and apply to the University of La Verne by February 1, 2010
  • Major or minor in one of the following: Art (Painting or Sculpture), Communications (Video Production), Music (Voice or Instrument), Photography, Speech (Debate), or Theatre (Performance or Design).  Area-Specific requirements, go to the website
  • One letter of recommendation from a teacher familiar with your work, one page resumé detailing your work
  • All scholarship applicants are invited to attend the Performance Scholarship Day on Thursday,

February 11, 2010, 4:00 PM at the University of La Verne

Delta Theta Chi Sorority                

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and plan to enroll in an accredited college or university in the fall of 2010
  • Photograph, transcript, three letters of recommendation

California State PTA                       

  • Must be a graduating high school senior, a member of King’s PTSA and attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the fall of 2010

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and attend Gonzaga University if awarded this scholarship

Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars Scholarship              

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and attend an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational school in the fall of 2010
  • Transcript, essay, two letters of recommendation, applicant appraisal form
  • Application can be submitted online at www.grdollarsforscholars.com or paper application is available in the College and Career Center

Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars “PTSA Scholarship”              

  • Same requirements  as above, except student MUST be a member of King PTSA
  • Looking for students with Community Service, minimum GPA of 3.5, Extraordinary Character, minimum GPA of 3.0 and Academic Excellence, minimum GPA of 3.75

Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars “National Charity League, Riverside Chapter”             

  • Same requirements as above, except this scholarship is for female students only
  • 3.0 GPA or higher, participated significantly in community service

The Art Institute Best Teen Chef Competition          

  • Must be a graduating high school senior and attend one of the 40 Art Institutes offering culinary arts programs if awarded this scholarship
  • 2.0 GPA or above

  • To enter Level One of the competition, submit a completed and signed Entry & Release form by February 5, 2010 to the school you want to attend
  • To enter Level Two, submit by February 26th:

Riverside County Association of Educational Office Professionals                   

  • Must be a graduating high school senior, attend an accredited college or university and pursue a career in business or education
